My New Mahias

Mahia is a punjabi folk format.
There are three lines in each poem.
The poem sounds complete even without the second line.
They are usually satirical and border on being funny.

I have written some Mahias in Telugu long back.

జనం జనం అన్నారు

                 ప్రభంజనం పుట్టిందేమో

జ్వరం జ్వరం అంటున్నారు.

వానొస్తే ఇంట్లో ఉంటా

                    మట్టిబుర్ర గద మరి నాది

కరిగి పోతె అది ఒక తంటా

ఎండ గొడితె ఇంట్లో ఉంటా

                          మంచుబుర్ర గద మరి నాది

కరిగి పోతె అది ఒక తంటా
